im considering traveling by local buses from one end of mexico North to southern end and then returning just to get a feel for the land and journal about future travel destinations there, trying to do it as cheap as possible and traveling super light, open to adventures and camping but mainly just an overview trip for future longer stays in mexico, hoping to travel by the beginning of 2009 end of 08, would love the company, ive traveled to baja, turkey, bulgaria, greece, but never mainland mexico , i have mostly travelled alone but a little tired of that , but i also like getting lost and having new experiences as a result of getting lost for a minute, peace

Re: traveling by bus through mexico
Sat, October 18, 2008 - 8:19 AMI did some bus travel in Central Mexico/Guate in '00, good times! One thing to watch out for: there are a lot more bus companies operating down their and they tend to have their own stations. So always be sure you have the correct station for the company you are using. I never actually missed a ride, but had some close calls. Can't remember names of actual companies but never had a bad experience with any.
Have fun!
